50 psi is the maximum tire pressure the tire is rated for, not the recommended running pressure.
The tag on the inside of the drivers door should list the recommended pressure for your D and the tires that came with it.
There may have been an addendum to the pressure recommendations. if so, it would be as a loose sheet inside your owners manual.
I typically run 35 psi all around except when I tow when I run 35-36 up front and 41 in the rear.
It's best to check your pressures periodically to check for leaks as well as to adjust for changes in ambient air temp. And - always check them when cold. Warm-up from driving can add up to 5 or 6 psi or more to the pressure.
