I have had great luck with a wash mitt made from lambs wool. You can get a 3pack from Costco that has a nylon mesh on one side for bugs and such, but the other side is like sheepskin, very soft and thick to prevent scratches. I have not found a brush yet that did not leave tiny scratches in the finish.
