It may or may not be the rear seal. My D was an EPA hazzard when I got it. I had several leaks and an incompetent dealer. The dealer at first said it was the rear seal and replaced but it was not and several other attempts did not find the leak. Ended up costing Chrysler installing a new short block at 16K mi. (lemon law) Any way, it was leaking from further up on the block and ran down the front of the trans. First clean up everything including the skid plates and frame. It may be residual as said above. If it comes back, have the dealer or repair shop put UV dye into the oil. Then come back in a couple of days. They will hit it with a black light and you will be able to tell easly exactly where it is comming from. Off hand I have not seen reports on this forum in 4 years of rear seals being a problem.
