Re: oil leak

The 5.2 V8 is pretty notorious for rear main seal leaks. Had 2 of them go in our 97 DAK. First one was covered under original warranty and the second lasted another 80K so I couldn't complain too much.

I was told by a local mechanic that they sometimes get "pinched" when installed and that can cause early failures like our first one at about 5K. Yours is probably a bit too long to claim that reason.
