That's what I had heard also in the end of June. Is that when you called also? Rick at Sam's had told me the same thing about backorders from Rancho and I heard the same thing everywhere else I called also. I would call them using the 800# on their site. They are good guys to talk to and I think they do give you the straight scoop.

I would think that the backlog was due primarily to the Rancho promo of buy 3 get 1 free. Since I wanted the deal I decided to wait. That expired June 30 so maybe things are better now.

Of interest, Rancho does not even feature the 9000 on their website any more. They launch the new 9000X this month with a 9-speed adjustment. I wonder if they will phase out the current 9000-series.
