Mike first off I hope your issues get resolved to your satisfaction, I know how you must be feeling, my D spent 8 service department working days at the 5* dealer to diagnose an electrical problem which I am sure was a broken ignition switch although they claimed that changing the switch did not correct the problem. After the 3rd day I got a call from the service writer who told me they were having trouble diagnosing the problem because of the after market electrical accesories I had installed, not knowing what they were talking about I went to the dealer which is close to home and inquired about what they were referring to. They took me into the service department and showed me the underhood light, and oem part that I had bought from them and they installed for me. When I told the service manager how the light was obtained he replied thats the best way to do it because that way its covered by your warranty. (urge to kill at this point) when picked up the interior smelled like someone who had not taken a bath in a long time had been living in my D. I am a firm believer that the longer you can keep a vehicle out of their hands the better your D will be, I can screw up things just as well as they can.
Sure not looking forward to any other trips to this dealer. It's been 2 weeks and still can get over the frustration of this visit.Bob
