Depends on too many factors

Starting with what tires are you replacing.  Also: what type of driving do you do, what conditions do you encounter, and what are your needs in a tire?

There's no one magic number.  The factory Goodlucks I'd recommend replacing as soon as you can if you do any extensive driving in rain or winter conditions.  The BFGs I replaced them with are approaching the same mileage the Goodlucks had on them, but they're still in great shape, so I'll be keeping them longer.
