often when the fuel pump is on it way out, it will start drawing extra current and this will burn the contacts in the relay..
Your dealer should perform the Fuel Pump Pressure Test, Fuel Pump Capacity Test, Fuel Pressure Leakdown Test, and Fuel Pump Amperage Test (in that order).
