the 9000's have a 5 way adjustable setting, it won't rattle your teeth , nor will it drive like a cement mixer - unless you want it to.
With a mixture of towing/off-highway driving, interstate driving, and everything in between, it's very nice to be able to set your shock to what YOU want, not what the manufacturer of the shock THINKS it should be at! I'm sorry, but no shock is smart enough to adjust for a 5000 lb vehicle towing a 4000 lb trailer one day and the next be able to give you a smooth ride at 75mph down the interstate the next without a little user intervention...
