Also, to add to everyone's input, usually the first application doesn't last too long, about 2~3 weeks, but if you reapply in 2 weeks, you'll get about 4 weeks outta that one. Of course, the more rain and wiper usage you have, the shorter it will last. As for the washer fluid additive, I use the pink stuff and that seems to prolong the life of the yellow-bottled stuff.
A word of warning about Rain-X, once you get used to the stuff, its hard to drive without it! Personally, I can't drive without it during rainy season. There's just something soothing about having water stream off the windshield at 70mph without the use of wipers!!!
