I had asked here last week if anyone might know why my truck, under load, shifts into 1st gear at 50 mph, and no one knew.  I took it to the dealer yesterday and they adjusted the cable going from the TB to the trans.  When they told me later what was misadjusted, I said nothing, but remembered that months ago I fiddled with that cable adjustment because someone here said it will alter the shift points to get better perf.

So, if I had not been in DOC, I would not have needed a trip to the dealer.  But I don't care, since the zillion other things I have learned here and the people I have shaken hands with easily make up for one piece of less than perfect advice.  By the way, some good advice from this forum would be not to mess with that cable.
