I'm not at all saying that ABS is a "waste" or that you shouldn't get it. I wish I had 4WABS on my Dak just for the extra peace of mind (and maybe lower insurance). I've only ever had a real lockup once (on clean, dry pavement...in summer), and in the winter, never really felt the rear ABS kick in.
