Hi Becky. Funny you should ask about antilock. We had some snow around here this week and I was able to test my 4wABS. It works great. The big advantage is you keep the ability to steer so you can avoid running into something out of control. You still have to drive slow because you wont' stop any faster. I drove the same route with my Montero that doesn't have abs and there was a great difference in controllability. I have had 2wabs in the past and found it to be bad news on ice. I hope that will help in the decision making.
