Absolutely it did cross my mind, but opted not to for two reasons:

1. No one makes an overlay in carbon fiber or any other color for that matter for my '01 D. To have it custom done was a lot more than I wanted to spend... A LOT more.

2. I wanted something to match the two-tone seats and the trim on the door panels. Like one of my previous posts stated, it's VERY close to that color.

I appreciate the input though! :)
