The chrome trim around the entire bezel you can't really see to well, but at night the gauge lights reflect off of it. It's a cool effect. Plus, it fills up a slight gap between the dashboard front piece and the guage assembly. One of those subtle details that makes you say "Oh wow! Cool.". :-)
