The new GM SUVs have an AMAZING top end! Never race one from a roll, or for a distance greater than a 1/4 mile. You'll get smoked everytime. Thier bottom end isn't all that great so you should get the initial jump on them, but you'll never be more than a couple of car lengths ahead before they start to pass you.

On a side note, there is speculation that GM might put twin turbos in the upcoming stretched 7 passenger versions. I talked to the factory rep at SEMA last fall.
