I can't stress enough that you need this option...it really should not be an option at all.
I have a '99 2WD and during hard breaking they really kicked in.
Also replace the shocks ASAP to your choice...ie. Rancho, Monroe or in other words once you get rid of the stock shocks your breaking distance will improve drastically. Since I upgraded to Rancho 5000's for $200 my ABS does'nt really kick in as much...it does'nt have to because the tires stay stuck to the ground and don't lift up like before which cause's the no-so-good breaking performance on the D.
