Save yourselves some money if you want this modification. I also bought off of E-bay and was curious why the top of the package had been cut off. I found out why when I was in Radio Shack the other day. EXACT same antenna for under $6.00 with no shipping. The seller had just cut the top off so nobody knows it is from RS. I felt like an idiot, but sent him a pic of the D with the new antenna and he sent me an extra for my other car. At least the guy was nice.
