New undocumented feature - automatic coolant check reminder!

Apparently as a reminder to check my coolant, the drain opened automatically today and emptied my radiator. I was going to the dealer anyway and the service tech said they have seen a lot of them lately around 50k miles. So - if you fall into that category you may wish to check the drain for tightness. On the '98 is it on the bottom of the radiator, on the side toward the engine and on the driver's end.
The dealer also reported that most '98s are experiencing transmission and transfer case seal failures. After about 4 years they lose their flexibility and don't seal anymore.
They are still looking for the cause of the other feature - it turns off the headlights when the tilt steering wheel is lowered. So far no one else has reported that problem (opportunity!)
