Probably the 3 closest areas would be Lockwood, Azuza Canyon and Big Bear.
Lockwood or Hungry Valley is up the 5 at the top of the GrapeVine just past 6 Flaggs. Turn at the Gorman exit, go under the highway, make a right, and turn left about 1/2 mile into the Hungry Valley OHV area.
Azuza Canyon, someone else will have to help you with. I believe it is off the 210 but I have never been there.
Big Bear, take the 10 east10 to the CA-30 exit towards CA-330/HIGHLAND. Merge onto CA-30 W. Take the CA-330 N exit towards MTN RESORTS. Merge onto CA-330. CA-330 becomes CA-18. Stay straight to go onto CA-38. Stop at the visitor center and get a map. There are hundreds of miles of trails there.
Get ahold of Ed Halterman. He's in your part of town and will help you out as well as go out with you. olznut@webtv.net SDBrian
