Another EXCELLENT experience at my ***** Star Dealer!!

Well, I took my poor D to get the A/C checked AGAIN! This was the 3rd time, and the last time was last week! She would blow cold air sometimes, then sometimes just quit. I knew it was the compressor as the magnet would not engage, even with the switch on full blast and the coldest range. They said it had a problem with some sort of valve, probalby either the evaporator or something. That didnt work, as I had to take her in again.

Well, I call them up at noon, and they tell me that she will be ready at 5:00pm. A friend takes me to the dealer at 5:15. She still wasnt ready, only to find out that the mechanic had heard a strange grinding and whirring sound coming from the compressor. So he pulled the fried compressor off, and proceeded to replace it! (YES!)
I started to talk to him and he even let me go inside and watch how he fixed it. He had to take out the belt, depressurize the system and then take out all the bolts to pull the compressor out.
Well after about an hour, he finished it up, reloaded the A/C with 134a and fired it up! Man was it blowing ICE COOOLD air!!!!
He even told me that he would install the 3.92 gears free once I got them!

We even decided on hooking up as he has a moded Dak R/T, so we could organize a local club or even a Chapter! Woo Hoo!

Well, going back home I had to put the selector switch on low, since it was throwing such cold air!
I am VERy satisfied with my dealer and they have NEVER let me down. Just to show you guys that there are still some freindly dealers. Too bad your last dealer were rip off's Ugg! :)

Sorry for the long post!

Best Regards,

-Fern
