I believe that ASP (try through Summit) has a crank pulley. Others may be available. Yes underdrives do get more HP to the wheels with everything turning slower. As far as problems, I'm not sure about the D but they can be hit or miss. Charging and cooling are at stake. The D seems to be borderline as far as cooling I and some others have had cooling issues. I don't know about the charging and how close it may be. The towing package alt may make a difference. You may or may not use the alt pulley if it available for the D.
