toward the right fender well,(note: upper right side headlight air channel) the opening of which also is a source for outside cool air, I am currently drawing cool air from that opening using a 4 inch flex vent attached to the factory airbox and per thermocouple readings at the TB hat am only seeing a 1-5 degree temp rise vs ambient air worse case sitting in traffic on a sunny day, downside is factory air box has the restriction factor of utilizing a smaller filter area (flat filter) vs cone and the non-linearity w/c may cause turbulance. IMHO factory airbox thus modified is adequate for cold air source and is more protected against ingestion of objects and water, but with the restriction factor at WOT. BTW with the $1 IAT Mod using a 10K fixed resistor using the air box, my D responds now like its a 5.9 R/T with a solid 1 MPG gain so far...
