Battery is the same.
With the tow package/HD group, you also get, in addition to the hitch, tranny cooler, and alternator (I think), the connector for an electric brake hook-up, the extra wiring, including 7-prong plug, and a 7 wire to 4 wire adapter. Do not believe there's any alteration to the suspension (kinda wish there was - like heavier rear springs or shocks, for example).
Make sure the dealer puts that elec. brake connector on - it's a real bear to get to (at least on my 2K where it resides atop the fuse box under the drivers side dash. The output of the connector is a set of wires going to the electric brake controller which you'll have to install separately.
Don't let your dealer convince you that all you get is a hitch for all that extra $$. That's the easiest part of the "I'll do it myself" work. For me - I don't like to play with electrics, so just as happy to have factory do all the work for me.
