I recently installed the IP Stage II intake (Great mod, sounds great, excellent service from John) and I noticed a rubber cover, or shield to the left of the radiator which looks like it blocks the air flow to that part of the engine. It looks as though it could be removed rather easily. My question is, should I take this off to improve air flow to the filter? Has anyone removed this or are there any reasons not to do this? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
