BFG Highway Robbery!

It is such a sham, this price-fixing by BFG. I can't believe that the FTC doesn't have something to say about it! I am currently in the market for a set of K/O's and have contemplated going from a 285/75-16 to a 295/75-16. If you'll look at the K/O spec sheet the difference between the two tires is about .5" diameter and about .2" section width. NOW, guess what the price-fixed price difference is between the two? THIRTY BUCKS per tire. Wanna know why? Because everyone and their dog makes a 285, but BFG has the market cornered on 295's. When I was at Discount Tire today, the rep typed in the two different sizes and about 10 options for brands popped up for the 285's, yet only the K/O's appeared on screen for 295's.

Realllllly making me think about going "Pro-Comp" or some other brand......
