Air Filters/ K&N Versus Amsoil Reusable (long)

Hello, correct me if I am wrong but in previous posts I read that the K&N air filters do not filter out the smaller particles that are ingested by the engine intake. I currently have the factory intake but put an Amsoil air filter (reusable) in it. I was looking at IP a few minutes ago and am thinking of purchasing the Z_tube. I plan on keeping my D for 10 years so I want it to last awhile. Is this true that more particulates enter through the intake with the Z-tube/K&N than with the Amsoil filter?
