Definately don't worry about the led. As far as the phone's battery being recharged I wouldn't worry either. Since I don't use my cell phone at home, I usually just let it recharge during the night right from the Durango when it's not running. I've never had a problem. I don't think the cellphone batteries hold that much, so it won't drain much from your car battery to recharge it.
