Re: violent downshift 2001 slt pt 4wd/dip stick

I have a 2k1 slt+ with the 4.7l pt4wd also, and have had this happen to me about 4 times since a bought the D... Scared me too when it first happned. Dealer "could not duplicate trouble"...as usual. I am a fairly new member of the DOC and just read through the forum fully, so I know this is a late reply, however if anyone else has had this happen and found a problem please let me know. Every time I was also in slow traffic when it happened. I thought it was because I was driving in traffic with the O/D on. Now I try to take it out of overdrive when I'm in stop and go, and trouble has not repeated for a while now.
