Re: My Opinion Living in Minnesota Joe - Platinum 2K SLT

I get the best of both worlds living in MN, I get a ton of snow in the winter and sunny days in the summer. I bought a 2000 SLT with PTFWD, because I figured I was only going to need the Full 4X4 only in major weather situations like a new snowfall or heavy rain. It's nice knowing I have the 4X4 when I need it and it also feels good that I'm not "wasting" the 4X4 feature by putting the extra strain on my SUV when I don't. I used 4X4 about 20 times this winter and that was only until a got to better road conditions, then I would switch her into 2X4. I was told by my salesman that there was no problem driving fast "50+" mph in 4X4 high when there was raining conditions, he just said it wasn't good to use it on dry roads? I did have one situation this year that I mentioned in a previous post, where I got stuck in about 2 feet of slush snow and might have been hung-up a little. I had it in 4X4 high and nothing, rocked it into 4X4 low and still nothing, I have to be pulled out by a full-ton chevy with a lift kit. The thing was only the front left and rear right tires were spinning, I thought 4X4 meant all four tires move?
