I prefer PT4WD to full time 4WD for all of the reasons stated above. Here in South Jersey, we don't have weather conditions which require 4WD that often so I don't see the need to have all of those extra parts turning and wearing needlessly. Plus, with shift on the fly, it is very easy to shift into 4WD when needed unlike the old days when you had to get out of the truck and manually lock in the front hubs.
