I live just up the coast of Puget Sound from your location, (Des Moines/Normandy Park area), and it was shakin' and rollin' pretty good here as well, for about 30 seconds. It really felt like my abode was going to come down around my ears for a bit there. Lost some china and crystal stuff that fell in a display cabinet, but other than that I was pretty luckey. Lots of power outages, water line breaks, land-slides, and building sideing falling on cars in Seattle, etc. Local news says that it is a miracle that more people were not seriously hurt, and apparently, only 2 deaths, (from heart-attacks). The Air-Traffic Control tower at SEA-TAC International has been destroyed, so that airport is operating at a limited capacity and the Control Tower controllers will be operating from a emergency, "mobile tower", UFN. A secondary major airport, (Boeing Field), is completely closed due to, again, Control Tower damage, and large cracks in both the runways. My D was garaged during the quake, and nothing fell on it! WHEW!!!Rob
