I'll say right up front I don't specifically know what the three wires do, but common sense tells me that I wouldn't "tap" into those. Here's a brief synopsis of how the mirror works. It senses ambient light through a sensor to get an overall reading, then senses light from headlights behind you, and sends a small varying voltage out to itself and the dimming side mirrors so the electrochromic gel in the mirrors can tint according to how much light it's sensing behind you. I wouldn't mess with it. Just my .02 worth.
