3 wires for auto/power rear view mirror?

Does anyone know what these 3 wires do that connect to the auto dimming rear view mirror? I'm looking to wire a 2lead power/ground cable for my radar detector instead of having a cable hang down to the cig lighter. But there are 3 wires!
