Thanks for the tip. I just ordered the Hellwig helper springs model 815. They should be in in a couple weeks. Looks like a very simple install. It is the only model that will fit on a 99 4x4 D. It adds the helper spring to the rear section of the leaf spring behind the axle and adds an additional 750-LB capacity. Their book say there is not enough clearance to add a helper spring in front of the axle. I will post the results after I install them and try them out.
