I had a very bad experience with an exploded Bridgestone Dueller 31x10.5x15" on my Cherokee, would never buy those again, and less for a D. Don t forget that the D is considerably heavier than a Cherokee. Rubber is very (!) soft on these, good traction, but high wear.
Michelin A/T s are almost equivalent to BFG s but they only carry a 2-ply sidewall, hence are less rugged. I had a 4x4 version of the Michelin A/T with reinforced side walls, don t know if you get in the US.
If you don t do a lot of off roading, look also into Pirelli Scorpions, very nice looking tire on a D. Many people on this forum have used these, I understand with mostly good results.
Hope this helps. Steve.
