Re^2: Adding height to D?

When you crank the torsion bars, you are adding torque to them. This will effect the ride but is a way to lift the front an inch or two. If you plan on doing this, make sure you jack up the front of the D first and support the frame with jack stands. Never adjust the torsion bars with the weight of the truck on them. You will want to get an alignment done after adjusting the torsion bars because this changes the camber.
The shackles in the rear will add height, but this also raises the center of gravity and that increases body roll.
