I went with the DynoMax Ultra-Flo stainless steel muffler (p/n 17289) in place of the stock exhaust. Had a local muffler shop cut out the factory muffler and weld in the Ultra-Flo and a short extension pipe (boy that factory muffler is big! ). Nice sound, not obnoxious at all, and you know it's not stock. Total cost $120. I have the 5.2 V8. It has only been two days since the install, so I can't report on the mileage difference yet.I had a '95 Mustang GT 5. 0 with a Borla stainleess steel cat-back true dual exhaust and really liked that sound, too. Borla is pricey, though, and I never really liked the look of the tips Borla puts on the tailpipes. Just my opinion.
