I've never heard of anyone running 25+ lbs of boost in a car using the factory ignition. That kind of boost is limited to Pro Stock and even then most of them don't take it that high in boost and most use an aftermarket ignition system. On most factory cars you can go up to 9 lbs, but you need something like larger injectors, a system to retard the timing as the boost goes up, etc. With an intercooler you can go higher, but that's still around 14 - 17 max and not with stock head gaskets, etc.
