I have Nitto Extreme Force tires that are 305 60 17 on stock R/T rims (17 by 9) with no rubbing. You can fit this size tire as long as you have the proper wheel offset/backspacing, which the R/T wheels have. If you put 285s on and experience rubbing then you're using a wheel with improper offset. The only place that will come close to rubbing is the very outside of the front tires on the trailing edge of the front bumper. Wheels with too much offset will have the wheels too far out from the vehicle and cause the tire to hit when the wheel is turned slightly (full lock should be OK, though). Offset/backspacing is critical and allows the 305 60 17 which is about 31.5 inch diameter and about 12 inch width. This would be about a 32 12.50 15 tire for BFG, but I don't think they make one that size. Check the tire ract at tirerack.com (no, I don't work there).Good luck,
Paul
PS I prefer all black walls.
