Same chrome lug nut problem here...

I've had the same problem with the lug nut caps. Removed and installed by always by
hand with a 6 point socket (12 point sockets will distort the edges causing the looseness).
For a quick, and so far a good fix for them, I use a little silicone adhesive sealant on
them and they stay put. Keep in mind, that with out the chrome covers the nuts are a
different size.
