So...
Can a 2wheel ABS system be upgraded to 4wheel? Is it worth it? I live in Boston,MA and was thinking of ice and snow.
I saw that the durango of the month had the stillen upgraded brake kit. I have rear drums. Does the stillen kit convert the drums into discs? Does the 2wheel ABS still work?
How much and easy is it to upgrade to a limited slip differential? Would the factory option have added both front and rear limited slip or only rear? If a limited slip is easy, at the same time can I switch the axle ratio? If I had ordered via dealer limited slip and axle ratio would cost around $320. Is this what I would expect if I went aftermarket. I guess I could always order the OEM parts.
I'm an advanced DIYr and I've done my own brakes, clutches, timing belts on all my other cars. I'll need a new floor jack though to handle the weight!. Could I do these mods myself too?
I'm towing approximately 3000-3500 lbs (trailer, boat, gear) with the standard engine and standard axle ratio. I read that I should turn off overdrive if I feel it shifting excessively. I only notice it when I'm going up hills so I only turn it off when going up hills. Is this OK? Otherwise it tows great.
thanks
