Sorry to hear about your Trip..

I agree one of the worst feelings we can have is not being able to trust our vehicle when we are very mobile and travel on long trips.
How old is your D? Did you buy it new?
My dad purchased a new car (years ago) and befor he even got it home off the lot, the Overdrive assembly was hanging off the transmission.
He had a few more problems, traded it in a couple of years later for the next model style and it was the best car he had ever had.
(It was in England and it was a Singer Vogue made by the Roots Group)
I hope your problems are just Isolated and you've got them all covered.
I wish you luck and hope you stay a D owner.
