Dodge Durango Forum II

I had one - a Pontiac 1988 Grand Prix

It lasted until it had just short of 150,000 miles on it. Until it had 120,000 miles, I spent less than $2,000 on it in maintenance and parts. The brakes lasted until 100,000 miles and that was with Chicago's stop and go traffic.

I would still have it except that at 147,500 miles, the electronics modules started going bad. Those things cost serious money and I was not willing to put it into a car that old. The dealer gave me $2,000 for it, even with the electronics problem, for a trade-in.

This car even went through an accident where I had to have the entire front end replaced. Fortunately the other guys insurance company paid for that.

Other than the usual midwest rust problems due to road salt, the body was in great shape as well.

It was real hard to part with it after 11 years but I really wanted a Durango.
