Quality Variation in New Durangos

Hi all,
As I approch the last step in buying my new D, I am amazed at the variance in my perceived quality of D's. Yes, much of it is probably me just being picky, but is it symptomatic of other quality defects? Some examples...
One had loose passenger seat...off center steering wheel by about an inch...and the front bumper was slightly off (place fingers under headlight on each side and compare gaps)
Another had a significant "shimmy" felt through steering at 65-70 mph
Another, the glove box when opened fell into floorboard. It did, I must say, generate a lot of laughter!
My last five problem-free purchases were two German and three Japanese cars.
I told a dealer that I don't want to purchase a $34k vehicle with the promise..."oh, we can fix that."
Any body else seen this kind of thing?
