How much money do you want to spend?!

The optimum would be to have a roots based unit puting out a small amount of boost (3-4 PSI) AND a turbo charger putting out another 6-8 PSI. This would give you tons of low end toqure with the roots SC and then as the RPM increases the turbo would kick in and almost take over. Depending on how you did it you could run them combined to get a total of about 12 PSI or (like Bob C.) suggested put a cluch pulleyon the SC that would disingage at say 2500 RPM and just run the turbo at 8-10 PSI. Now this setup would cost cloase to $6000 just for parts let alone all the custome fab work to get both the SC and turbo in the D, brackets and such.
In reality it all depends on what you want. If you want bottom end get a roots SC, if top end get a SC or turbo. I know this doesn't help much, but SC and turbos just don't help that much down low.
