he gave a talk at a school in my area. He said that if the principals would get off their duff and out into the hallways, they would know what was going on in the school. To some extent, same for teachers. Many schools today have guards walking the hallways, they don't have a clue either. I concede that might not work with 1st graders, but as another post said, Where were the parents? Far to many single parent homes, that really are trying hard to hold everything together, and are out of touch with the kids. Or 2 parents so wrapped up in their jobs that they don't have time for the kids.
