Just to see if the boys at the Duke would try the old P.C.V. trick on me as they did my spouse. Well... new twist... said they had an "advisory" from D-C Corp. that specified the P.V.C. needed to be replaced at 10k.
When I brought this to the attention of the manager he said "well I don't care what the owners manual says your valve has oil on it." I quickly told him I was an ex-sales rep for C-D-P and he was full of caca. I also told him about the nicked serp. belt that was "found" the last time the D was in. Of course the nick could not be found.
This kind of crap might build gross sales, however, it pi**es off those of us who have been in the automotive business. The manager was ok after this, but the tech looked at me like he wanted to kick my butt. I guess its ok to take advantage of women and the unlearned.
I know everyone gets tired of my rantings but I needed to blow off some steam.
