Hey all,
For about a month now, I have been getting a metal clanking noise every time I press on the brakes. I took it to the dealer as soon as I heard it and they diagnosed it as beingThe front brakelinings shifting when hitting brakes in a forward to backward motion. They lubed the front steering knuckle guides. They said that most durango's did this and there was little they could do, but they tried. I got it back and low and behold, the sound was gone (for about an hour). In the last week, it has gotten loud enough for me to hear with all the windows up and over all the road noise. Does everyone's D do this or am I getting the "Everything is normal" story from the dealer? My D is a '99 SLT+ 4X4 W/ 10K Miles in case that helps. Any info is appreciated.
