their holiday behind the scenes to assure that the unthinkable does not happen. Everyone working tonight and early tomorrow to make sure that all of our lives continue without a hitch.
I was talking to the Manager of our local mall today who told me that their company is requiring them to be in the office from 10pm tonight till 10am in the morning and send an email to corporate every 30 minutes to assure that all systems are working. While I have to go in at 8am to make sure that all systems are functioning as advertised, I just can't imagine spending the first hours of the new century in front of a CRT just to make sure the heat in the mall doesn't go whacko. Kudos to all of you out there in the world who are working tonight to assure that the rest of us remain safe and don't notice the changeover!
